Crafts Cabin Renovation
Why Are We Renovating the Crafts Cabin?
The camper cabin renovations are now complete, and the Crafts Cabin is our next project. This space is in the greatest need of improvements, and we’re excited to update it! Our plans include renovating the interior, installing a new roof, adding vinyl siding, and building a porch.
The Crafts Cabin Welcomes All Campers
Every camper visits the Crafts Cabin at some point during their week at Tapawingo. As we continue to grow, with over 650 campers and CITs joining us on the island each summer, this space will play an even more essential role in creating lasting memories and fostering creativity.

This was our daughters’ first year at Tapawingo, and they loved it! They stay in touch with their counselors, who kindly respond despite their busy schedules. I know firsthand how meaningful that mentorship can be in strengthening faith.
I’m also grateful for the generous scholarships that allowed their friends to attend. It was a highlight of their year, one they wouldn’t have experienced without support. We’re thankful to give back to the scholarship fund and pray that God uses it to grow His kingdom and glorify Himself at Tapawingo.

I am incredibly grateful for the scholarship that made my time at Tapawingo possible. I had an amazing experience with activities like banana boating, water skiing, archery, sailing, and rock climbing. More importantly, I cherished the Christian fellowship and the opportunity to connect with other young women. The speakers and counselors helped deepen my understanding of God and how to grow in my faith.

Tap on the Road brings Tapawingo’s full-time staff across the U.S. to connect with former and prospective campers and staff. Together, we sing camp songs, study Scripture, and relive cherished camp memories.
